Ferrari. Herd of prancing horses. House of the best cars. But we know that Ferrari is better than that. They thrive not just to give the best but the perfect ones. And they are the best in that field. Even from way back, they had been building cars to perfection.
To prove this statement right, let me give you an insight to one the best models of Ferrari. This may not be the prettiest model Ferrari has got, but considering the time they had built this supercar, it really is something to brag about. Built between the years 2004 to 2006 as the successor of the Ferrari 360, Ferrari F430 is a one of a kind masterpiece unveiled in the 2004 Paris Motor Show and stunned the spectators around and even stunning the many today.
Several supercars had then built based from the F430. These includes the F430 Spider, F430 GT2, F430 GT3, F430 Scuderia Spider 16M, F430 Spider Bio-Fuel and its racing version for Ferrari Challenge, the F430 Challenge. F430 had really had so many innovations and had been awing a lot of viewers on every Motor Show as they reveal the F430 based GTs. But wondering about how well had they been on innovating this already marvelous creation? Don’t worry because we’ll have time for these stupendous gran turismo lurking around our minds.
But for now, let’s take a quick look at this astonishing masterpiece. Why astonishing? Following the 360, this car’s steering, brake system, and space can really tell you that this car is designed for a very wonderful ride experience and comfort, and great practicality had been a top priority on their latest innovation.
It might have not gotten the powerful howl of the 360, but its sound can still make you feel wonderful and it got so much power! So don’t feel bad about the sound because its rear mid-mounted 4.3 Liter V8 engine gives you a 483 horsepower at 8500 rpm and a 343 lb ft of torque at 5250 rpm. From zero to 60 mph can be achieved at 4 seconds and you can go to a top speed of 196 mph, and that is quite fast!
It even got the same electronic differential (E-Diff) from Michael Schumacher’s F1 car. This E-Diff is a computer controlled limited slip differential which can vary the torque distribution based on your inputs like the steering angle and the lateral acceleration.
It also has the first application of the Manettino (slang for little switch) dial mounted on the steering wheel. It allows you to choose between five settings controlling the E-Diff and ESP system. Out of five the notable switches are the Sport, the Race, and the Off CST (Control for Stability Traction).
Comparing these three modes on the same corner, Sport mode which is the standard setting is the slowest while the Race mode is just a little slower than when you have CST turned off. At CST turned off, everything is left to the driver to balance the car with proper throttling and steering.
Its exterior is designed for greater aerodynamics enhancing the downforce. Even its interior is really marvelous and extravagant as for every Ferrari.
With a great engine and superb handling, this car is truly astonishing and irresistible in any sense. It may not be the latest today, but I tell you what, this car can make you run on the streets to the amazement of the people on the road.
Knowing that this had been around us for quite sometime, its £118,500 tag price had already diminished allowing you to buy Ferrari F430 at a much lower price. What is even more wonderful is the undeniable fact that a lot of cheap used Ferrari 430 are out there for you to purchase.
It doesn’t matter if it isn’t brand new or this isn’t the latest because just being a Ferrari will push you to buy the F430 and let its beautiful sound be heard on the streets.
