Got an eye for some sports cars to race on? Or probably you just want to have a get-away driving a sexy yet powerful car? Then, a Ferrari is definitely for you. No matter what your purpose is for buying a car, it’s always – well, it should have to be always – best to make it sure that beauty and performance aren’t compromised. With so many options to choose from, you might get confused on which car would be perfect for you. Well, then no worries for we will be taking you to a tour around the “raging herd of prancing horses”.

Our first stop would be on the stable of the Ferrari 458 Italia. Its debut at Frankfurt last show marks its 360 degrees innovation, a clear break from the recent past generation while continuing to be a “prancing horse” which can be used everyday. Its new herd Italia is a tribute to its country Italy and for its great and talented Italian designers. Having the mix of a typical Ferrari ingredients, 458 Italia unleashes the capabilities of Ferrari to yet another completely new design, extreme innovation, technology, and concept. Astonishing as it is on its appearance, the never before seen body of the newest addition to the “raging herd” is designed by Pininfarina as always and with its interior to be the work of Ferrari’s finest and Chief Designer Donato Coco. 458 Italia may look very sensational but its design is pretty much for a purpose, as every other model is. Let’s take a quick examination at the external features. In front of the car, a very narrow inlet with winglets which channel up air into the radiator and at high speed these winglets deform to reduce the drag. Air can also pass on the front corners of the hood and then channeled out on either front fender to reduce lift on the front wheel arch. A big change would be the lack of inlet on the rear and instead the air gets inside a pair of ducts directing all the way to feed the engine partnered with another pair of little ducts under the floor to cool the engine back. On the back are the triple exhaust and another two cooling ducts one for the back and one for the cables.

Under the hood would be a 4.5 liter direct injection V8 engine producing 562 bhp, a torque of 392 lb-ft. It also has a twin clutch cable seven speed, no F1 transmission and no manual option. And the contour of dashboard is not just revolutionary but also functional. The two screens in either side of the central dash one screen is for the system which tells the driver the state of the brake, the tires and whether it is being warmed up or cooled down. Also, the control are all now on the steering wheel and not on the side.

In the world of racing cars, where a combination of performance, comfort, and safety is the ultimate goal, Ferrari and Bridgestone unveil again its perfect combination with the Bridgestone Potenza S001 as the standard tire of Ferrari 458 Italia. The tire’s lightweight belt construction design and advanced groove and lug to suppress surface noise. As said on the Ferrari.com YouTube channel, superior safety and comfort is given to the driver in dry conditions ensuring maximum contact, grip and steering responses. Its high grip shoulder blocks are designed for dry conditions to optimize road contact, its strong and lightweight active bead insert for enhancing handling performance,  its off centered straight rib for a remarkable steering responses  counted on by an outstanding stability. Even on wet conditions, optimum safety is ensured since the inside of the tire is designed with the Bridgestone’s premium wet technology. Its wide water evacuation grooves, high angles lug grooves are tuned to maintain effective driving for maximum safety and control in the wet.

On the over all, this complete car gives you a great driving feeling on the road and on the track. Plus, Ferrari 458 Italia got the title of being the 2009 Top Gear Car of the Year.

If you are looking to buy Ferrari with uncompromised sport feeling without affecting the comfort level in driving on the road or on the track, then 458 Italia is pretty much perfect for you. Sold brand new with a starting price for about £150,000 458 Italia will all be worth it.
