Revealed on the 2010 Beijing Motor Show, this latest GTO poses none like any other car. Its tremendous V12 engine got it a remarkable record of 1 minute and 24 seconds at Fiorano, Ferrari’s Test Track.
No wonder that this is the fastest Ferrari GT since it is based on Ferrari’s famous advanced experimental track car, the 599XX. Its V12 engine provides a 670 horsepower at 8250 rpm and a maximum torque of 620 Nm at 6500 rpm. It would take you from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.35 seconds and would allow you to a top speed of over 208 mph. Remarkably fast and extraordinaire! Yet, it complies with the Euro 5 and LEV 2 standards, making it absolutely perfect as a road car.

599 GTO is featuring the latest second-generation lighter carbon-ceramic brakes offering you a better performance. More advanced aerodynamics is also implemented like the wheel doughnuts increasing aerodynamic efficiency and improving brake cooling. The nose of the car is designed to reduce the width of the wake caused by the front thus reducing drag. It got wider front Supersport tyres – developed by Michelin – intended for greater road holding. The separate lower wing on the car’s front spoiler is designed to increase downforce at the front of the car and at the same time increases the flow of cooling air to its oil radiator.
It has an F1 6-speed plus reverse gearbox and it also features the Virtual Race Engineer (VRE), a system monitoring the status of the car and giving the driver instant view of vehicle performance.
So much is yet left for you to explore. This 599 GTO is as perfect as it can be. What is a bit distressing about this supercar is that only 599 are to be produced thus making it a limited edition. And sad to say that it still hasn’t gotten some used or what we call as pre-owned units.
